graduate advice


i've looked, looked, looked, and am thoroughly convinced
there are no secrets left in life
only stunning realities - and ever since
kant killed off god
there are no miracles left in life:
all magic is a hoax
redeemed by awe
and reality stands stark naked
laughing at life's awkward jokes
and life, a joke in itself
(who mustn’t laugh at something so sacred)
envies death, who laughs so hard he cries.
